Cory Watson, ValueFirst Call Director, brings over 20 years of experience in the in IT industry as Whitlock’s support organization Director. Cory started his career in the IT world as a DBA/System Administrator, then moved into a key role as a Rapid Application Development programmer. From there he moved into an Enterprise Systems Management as a team lead working with the HPE enterprise tools. Later Cory became an HPE consultant and solutions architect for several consulting firms where he provided HPE enterprise software architecture design, implementation delivery, for his many customers.
Cory created a support line of business for Pepperweed Consulting and became their director of support. He ran this line of business and directed delivery of support successfully for for six years, before Cory moving into the world of National Energy Regulatory Committee Cyber Information Protection (NERC/CIP) as a network security and security process consultant. In this role he worked with energy companies across TX to provide physical and network security compliance processes, auditing, documentation, and technical solutions. With his background in support he was also asked to build a support organization for this organization, and became the VP of Support. Cory later returned to the Enterprise Consulting world as a HPE solutions architect and technical presales engineer. Along the way he also taught IT courses for Colorado Technical University.
Today Cory directs his HPE support team helping Whitlock’s customers to get the most value out of their HPE enterprise software solutions.
Cory received his B.S. from City University Seattle WA, and a MBA in Business Information Systems Management from Colorado Technical University. His graduate studies focused on business management for information systems, where he received additional certificates in IT Management, and Business Management.
